Help us make sure that incoming Bristol students have a home, like we did!
JOIN US ON A MARCH ON SATURDAY 3RD OF FEBRUARY
Bring your friends, flatmates, SRs, Wardens, parents, alumni and let the University of Bristol know that the proposed changes to Halls of Residence are not good enough!
Date: Saturday 3rd of February
Start: 2:15pm at Stoke Bishop Transport Hub
Or join us: 2:45pm at the SU
Finish: 3:00pm onwards at Wills Memorial Building
This will be a friendly march, but with a serious message. Please feel free to bring signs, banners, music, etc. Let's show the University management that our communities matter, and that these changes will cause more harm than good.
Send an email to RHS expressing your opposition
Having released the outcome of the review on Monday 18th of December 2017 (after most students had left for Christmas), RHS is giving students and staff a "consultation" period, lasting until Thursday 1st of February 2018 (just after the exam period, when not all students are in Bristol) to express opinions and concerns about the changes.
USE YOUR VOICE!
To make your voice heard, send an email to RHS expressing your feelings about this:
Potential points could include:
- The loss of Wardens, Deputy Wardens (DWs), Student Support Advisors (SSAs), and Senior Residents (SRs)
- The destruction of hall communities through the abolishment of JCRs
- The endangerment of student lives through a reduction in staff of over 60%
